Advanced Surgical Workshop 2017

The basic suturing workshop will be held on 11 February 2017. It aims to teach more advanced surgical skills to medical students. Students will be able to practise knot tying and suturing skills on pig skin, dissection of pig skin, excision of artificial skin mass and closure of wound under the supervision of respected tutors.

  1. Session 1: 1:30pm - 3:30 pm
  2. Session 2: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Application Procedures

1. Fill in the Google Form by 5 Feb 2017 (Sun) 23:59.

2. A confirmation email will be sent within 1-2 days to inform you of your allocated workshop session.

3. Please transfer the fee to our Bank of China account: 012-608-1-023782-4 (SO HAU WANG) and send us a soft copy of your receipt either by email ([email protected]) on or before 8 Feb 2017 (Wed) at 23:59.

** Should applicants fail to submit the application fee, or provide the receipt on time, his/her application may be voided. **

As a prerequisite of your registration, we expect all participants of Advanced Surgical Workshop would have participated basic suturing workshops of SSAHK in previous years or in the coming year, and have acquired basic knot tying and suturing techniques.

Please be aware that there is risk of needle prick and sharps injury, and airborne infection even though protective equipment will be provided for all participants, where the SSAHK shall not be held responsible for.
